The latest outpost of Joseph Abboud’s Moor’s Head “inauthentic” pizza joint has taken over the former Markov in Carlton.
The Bosphorus pide
Those familiar with the original will recognise the manoushe and pide-style pizze with their batsourma, sumac, labne and mint toppings, but there are nods to the Little Italy location – a Turkamisu combines cardamom coffee, walnut liqueur and pistachio nuts.
There’s a good list of mostly Victorian beer and wine, too, as well as favourite cocktails like The Rumi and Moorjito, which adds orange blossom to the classic recipe.
