Café I enjoy walking my dog in St Kilda and then calling in to Pelican (16 Fitzroy St, St Kilda, Vic, 03 9525 5847) for a coffee – the outside area allows me to have my dog with me.

Bottle shop Parkhill Cellars (43-45 Errol St, North Melbourne, Vic 03 9328 1132) and for something really special, Randall’s The Wine Merchant (186 Bridport St, Albert Park, Vic, 03 9686 4122).

Winery Bindi in Macedon. This is close to my parents’ house and Michael and Wendy are great friends of mine. Michael and I both went to school at Essendon Grammar.

Drinking hole Cookie (252 Swanston St, Melbourne, Vic, 03 9428 0055). Great staff and food and they love entertaining young kids.

Cheese Morbier: love the story, the presentation and the flavour.  All you need to go with it is crusty sourdough.

Australian food product Fresh almonds and dhufish from WA.

Vue de Monde, 430 Little Collins St, Melbourne, Vic, (03) 9691 3888, www.vuedemonde.com.au.
