I’m looking for four weeks. Has anyone seen them? They’ve gone missing. How else to explain that Christmas is already here? But that’s okay: it’s still my favourite time of the year and I’m excited about sharing the big day with my loved ones. This issue will make it all a cinch to plan, with Paul Carmichael’s epic Caribbean feast, a fresh and simple seafood menu, fun prepare-ahead dishes, and smart cocktails and snacks. Let the festivities begin.

And if the mad rush to Christmas means you’re yet to complete your gift shopping, help is at hand. GT is collaborating with the folks behind Sorry Thanks I Love You to open our first-ever Christmas boutique. Swing by the Sydney store (140 George Street, The Rocks) or shop online for David Thompson’s favourite hot sauce or a Christmas pudding by Alla Wolf-Tasker, ceramics by our friends at The Fortynine Studio and napery from the new GT homeware collection – there are more than 130 products to choose from.

Everything has been hand-picked by team GT and many of the makers have featured in the pages of the magazine. Thank you to Caroline Ball and Ant White at Sorry Thanks I Love You, and our in-house tastemaker, staff writer Maggie Scardifield, for bringing this project to life. The store is open until 18 December; we’d love to see you there.

And speaking of treats, doesn’t team GT look sharp in the portrait above? It was taken at our 50th-anniversary celebrations at Rockpool Bar & Grill. To see more party pics (and all the shenanigans), head over to our gallery.
