The QT Negroni

QT Hotels and Resorts is putting a spin on the classic for a good cause.

This week, QT Hotels and Resorts are counting down Negroni Week with seven specially crafted cocktails that shake up the classic drink. Mixologist Jared Thibault’s menu will change daily, kicking off with a new QT signature Negroni featuring the latest release of small-batch Cinzano 1757 Rosso inspired by a historic Torinese recipe.

Also on the menu is a Negroni Reale with liquorice notes thanks to Carpano Antica Formula, a White Negroni made with Suze Gentian Aperitif and Lillet Blonde, and a Negroni Down Under featuring bitters from Adelaide Hills Distillery, Margaret River’s West Winds Sabre Gin and Regal Rogue Bold Red vermouth, which uses pepper berry, wattle seed and native thyme.

Thibault also takes the Negroni to the Caribbean with his Rumgroni, made using Appleton Signature Blend rather than gin.

QT will continue Negroni Week’s tradition of raising money for charity by donating $1 from every limited-edition Negroni they sell, with QT Melbourne donating its proceeds to OzHarvest, the Australian charity working to reduce food waste. With a cause like that, there’s no need to feel guilty about drinking seven Negronis in seven days.

QT’s Negroni Week menu is available at QT Sydney, QT Melbourne, QT Canberra and QT Gold Coast, from June 5-11. qthotelsandresorts.com
