Young Henrys and Mary's charity cook up

Two of Sydney's inner west favourites are teaming up in aid of cancer research.

Young Henry's tinnies
Craft beers and barbeque chicken already go together pretty neatly, but on Saturday 18 February they'll go together even better. As part of Cure Cancer Australia's current fundraising campaign, Barbecure, Young Henrys are taking over Sydney's Commune warehouse and studio space in Waterloo for an all-day barbecue, with all proceeds going towards cancer research.
Young Henrys are sticking to pouring beers and serving tinnies, smartly enlisting Mary's to manage the grill. The menu's looking more like a Caribbean cook-up than burger bar: expect jerk chicken and beer-can chook sandwiches, peas and rice, spicy sweet potato with habanero and more.
And if you can't make it, consider holding your own Barbecure to raise funds. See here for more information, and our collection of favourite summer barbecue recipes.
