Brace yourself, Melbourne entertainers: Spanish megabrand Zara is making waves on our shores once again, opening its first Australian homewares outpost at the Highpoint Shopping Centre today.

Zara Home, a spokesperson from the product team tells us, will showcase two collections a year “based on trends from the international runways” and among the highlights for food-lovers will be an extensive range of table linen and fun, reasonably priced glassware and tableware.

The launch of Zara Home is the latest in a wave of international chain stores to land in Australia in recent years – American kitchenware and foodstuffs retailer Williams-Sonoma, beauty giant Sephora, and Japanese fashion favourite Uniqlo, just to name a few.

A Sydney store is in the works, too, and while the location is being kept under wraps, expect to see it in the coming months.
